Courtnie Ledet, LPC Intern

Get to know Courtnie…

Courtnie is originally from Houston, Texas.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Texas Stated University and later went to receive her Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University.  While pursuing her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Courtnie became members of both Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology and Chi Sigma Iota National Counseling Honor Society.

Courtnie has previous experience working with homeless women and children, homeless veterans, and homeless women veterans with substance abuse history.  Her professional experience includes substance abuse recovery, groups, individual therapy, and couple’s therapy.  

Courtnie believes that the healing process begins by creating safe environments and promoting healthy relationships.  It is her passion to walk beside her clients to assist in their journey to healing.  She promotes safe, judgement free, and shame free environments.  Her theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral therapy, along with solution-focused therapy.
